What does citizenship truly signify in a society that identifies itself as democratic while simultaneously dismantling its judicial system and upholding military rule over individuals in the occupied territories? How is citizenship defined in an ethno-state that extols nationalism and militarism? In this Advanced Plus course, we will delve into the concept of citizenship and its manifestation in Israel/Palestine. We will scrutinize the disparities between the formal status of citizenship and the actual experiences of both citizens, non-citizens, residents and asylum seekers. Additionally, the course will explore the challenges for Israelis and Palestinians in the current moment through this analytical lens. Course materials will encompass blog posts, news articles, video clips, and academic publications. This course is designed for Advanced Plus students—individuals already proficient in navigating daily life and seeking to enhance their reading and discussion skills at an advanced level. *** Early Bird Price Starts at - 1200 NIS - Until 03/03 Regular Price Starts at - 1300 - Until 24/03 Late Price - 1400 - Until first lesson of the course We have made a small change in our pricing structure and are now offering a sliding scale in order to give you the opportunity to donate 100 or 200 shekels when you buy a course. This money will go toward the TINAU scholarship fund and emergency support for TINAU.
